To end our term in June, we hosted our annual Kairos Movie Night (the first time we’ve been able to do so since the onset of Covid!) where the juniors watched Ice Age and the seniors watched Despicable Me (titles chosen after a large amount of debate, negotiation and finally a voting process!). This was a great way to really end off the term and allow the children to enjoy a lovely winter night together in their winter pyjamas. While we feel strongly about our controlled screen-time policy, this is a moment for the school to demonstrate we are flexible and also empathic about our students’ obvious love of a good movie.
