Our Grades 6 & 7 teacher Jessica Sherman has the extraordinary gift of boasting gifts in both the left brain subject of maths and the right brain subject of music. In recent years she has lectured primary school maths education methodology to Undergrad and Honours level Education students, and has supervised other students on their teaching practices. Jessica has also been involved in RADMASTE (The Research and Development Mathematics, Science and Technology Education) initiative in Wits, multilingual education initiatives, and research in the history of African music. Prior to her employment at tertiary level, Jessica has been a class teacher, a maths teacher and music teacher. She has also been involved in outreach work through AMESA (The Association for Maths Education of South Africa) and the TALK project, and activism work through Jews for Justice, Jewish Voices, and Jewish Voices for a Just Peace. Jessica is also a chorister for the Lewandowsky Choir and the Chanticleer Singers. She holdsdegrees in Maths Education and Music Composition.
